Cashback up to Rs. 1,500 by Vodafone on selected Samsung 4G smartphones
Vodafone has recently partnered with Samsung for offering cashback up to Rs. 1,500 on selected Samsung Galaxy 4G smartphones. New Vodafone postpaid and prepaid subscribers as well as existing ones can avail the cashback on buying the Samsung Galaxy J7 Max, Galaxy J7 Nxt and Galaxy J2 Pro. Earlier the telco also tied up with Micromax and China’s Itel Mobile for launching similar cashback offers.
How can subscribers avail the cashback offer?
Vodafone prepaid customers will have to recharge with Rs. 198 every month for 24 months for availing the cashback offer, with which they can enjoy unlimited voice calls along with 1GB data per day. However, postpaid subscribers need to choose any of the Vodafone’s Red Plans. Vodafone will be offering Rs. 600 cashback after the first 12 months, while the remaining Rs. 900 will be provided after the next 12 months, totalling Rs. 1,500.
Kindly note that the cashback will be credited to Vodafone M-Pesa wallet, which means the subscribers need to adhere to Vodafone network for the next 24 months and use that specific mobile wallet for getting the cashback.
Effective price of the smartphones after cashback
The Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro will be available at an effective price of Rs. 6,990 with the Vodafone cashback, while the market operating price (MOP) is Rs. 8,490. The Galaxy J7 Max comes at an effective price of Rs. 15,400, the MOP being Rs. 16,900. The Galaxy J7 Nxt could be bought at an effective price of Rs. 8,990, the MOP being Rs. 10,490.
Avneesh Khosla, Associate Director – Consumer Business, Vodafone India mentioned that Vodafone will be offering cashback over a large range of 4G smartphones with this partnering, which is in line with the company’s attempt to make 4G easily accessible and democratise data. These offers coming with Samsung will provide a richer data and voice experience when customers buy/upgrade their existing smartphones.
Cashback worth Rs. 2,200 on selected Micromax 4G smartphones too
The offer was originally made for the Micromax Bharat-2 Ultra by Vodafone. The phone was launched in October 2017 to counter Reliance Jio’s Jio Phone, priced at Rs. 999. In November 2017, the Mumbai-based telco announced Rs. 2,200 cashback on selected Micromax 4G smartphones in an effort to expand its original partnership with the Indian vendor.
